About

ReadingHacks.com is a place to share what I have loosely termed “tips, tools, and gadgets for people who love to read”. It came about in part due to the number of times I found or thought of interesting things to post that really didn’t fit at bookboy.net

The idea of a “reading hack” is an extension (or technically a subset, I guess) of the increasingly popular idea of “life hacks” - a phrase that has evolved among the online community to essentially mean some sort of solution to an everyday problem.

At the time of launching ReadingHacks.com, it is my expectation that the sorts of “hacks” posted here will include subjects like: finding books you might like; getting hold of those books; finding time to read them; places to put them; ways to keep track of them; interesting book related gadgets; and let’s be honest, pretty much anything to do with books that I feel like posting. Some of the “reading hacks” posted here may stretch the definition a bit, but since when was language static?

As for me, I am a librarian in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, and author of bookboy.net.
