Books are alluring, invigorating, and life changing. This is not because they smell musty. This is not because they are at the forefront of computer technology. It is because they contain stories. Stories that take us on journeys, reveal new worlds, challenge our thinking. Stories that allow us to forget ourselves, our lives, our situations for just a little while. Stories that allow us to dream, to love. Stories that allow us to live.

This is why I love books.

I am a librarian in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. I typically read books for kids and young adults which you can keep up with at bookboy.net. I also spend some time on twitter.
